Our history and our values
Founded in 1911, Molino Sima is an integral part of the Giulio Bellini Farmers' Cooperative, one of Italy's largest agricultural enterprises.
Since 1992 we have been dedicated to the production of organic flours, using mainly grains grown by our members. Most of the raw materials, especially Spelt and Soft Wheat, come from the Ferrara's territories, one of the mosti beautiful and traditional cities in Italy, where the agronomic and climatic conditions of the surrounding environs guarantee the best results in terms of quality.
We are Italy's leading processor of 100% Italian origin Soft Wheat and among the largest European processors and producers of Spelt, ideal for baked goods, and Dicoccum Spelt, perfect for the production of fresh and dry pasta.

We were among the first in Italy to import and believe in Khorasan Kamut® wheat, from which we obtain flours rich in protein, vitamins, minerals and trace elements such as selenium.
Today we have achieved an extraordinary result by becoming the world's largest producer of flours made from this precious grain
In order to offer superior quality flours, we also process our organic grains using the stone milling technique. More and more customers are choosing and appreciating this traditional method, which preserves the authentic flavor and nutrients of the grain.
Thanks to slow milling and temperature control, the resulting flours have an irregular grain size and are particularly rich in vitamin E, B vitamins and minerals, thanks to the presence of wheat germ.
We produce organic flours both under our own brand and in private label, collaborating with major companies specializing in the distribution of organic products, both in Italy and abroad.
