With Organic Soft Wheat flour type "00"
INGREDIENTS FOR THE SPECIAL APPLE PIE
150 g Organic Soft Wheat flour type "00"1 kg Golden or Renette apples already cleaned and sliced
120 gr of sugar
100 ml of milk
3 Organic whole eggs
1 Organic lemon already cleaned and dried
1 sachet of baking powder
1 pinch of salt
1 sachet of vanillin
Cinnamon powder to taste
Butter and sugar to garnish
PROCEDURE
- Peel the apples and cut them into thin slices. In a bowl, whisk the eggs with the sugar using a whisk; add the flour, milk, grated lemon zest, vanillin (and if you like, a little of cinnamon powder), salt and baking powder.
- When the mixture is well blended, add most of the sliced apples and mix everything gently.
- Butter and flour a cake pan (or use baking paper); transfer the cake batter inside of it and proceed to garnish with the remaining apple slices to create a decorative design.
- Top with butter flakes and a generous sprinkling of sugar. Bake at 180° for about an hour.
